About UsThe Women's Club Soccer team is highly competitive, traveling to areas such as Texas and California to compete in tournaments annually. The sport is in-season during the fall semester, with regionals in late October and Nationals in mid-November. Practices are three days a week, and the season consists of both games and scrimmages. The off-season is during the spring semester with friendly scrimmages. |
Our History |
University Club sports are a fun and competitive way for student athletes to participate in the sports they love, while excelling in academics and remaining active in other campus clubs and organizations.
We have long been a competitive team nation wide. Every year, club teams have the opportunity to compete regionally and nationally if their rankings allow them to advance. During our time as a club, we have qualified for nationals, advancing to quarterfinals in 2006, semi-finals in 2007, the national championship game in 2008, and the national quarterfinals in 2009. Also, our region contains some of the top teams in the nation such as San Diego State, Cal, Colorado, and UCLA. The NIRSA National Collegiate Club Soccer Championship has been held in locations such as Phoenix, AZ and Memphis, TN, with teams attending from all over the United States. In our 2016 fall season, we qualified for nationals and travelled to Alabama to compete against the top club teams in the country. We also participated in the Aztec Cup Tournament in San Diego, where we took first place (2016, 2017). In the fall of 2022, we travelled to Round Rock, Texas in order to compete in Nationals. We look forward to qualifying for the national tournament and being a strong competitor for each championship. |
